Account Deletion Policy

This page outlines the account deletion process for Harmony Sync and details what data is deleted or retained.

How to Delete Your Account

You can request account deletion directly from within the Harmony Sync app:

1. Open the Harmony Sync app
2. Navigate to the Profile tab (bottom right)
3. Scroll down to the Account Actions section
4. Tap on "Delete My Account"
5. Confirm your decision in the popup dialog

Your account will be immediately marked for deletion and you will be logged out.

What Data is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data associated with your account will be permanently removed:

• Personal profile information (name, email, preferences)
• Mood check-ins and emotional tracking data
• Journal entries and notes
• Relationship goals and progress
• Milestones and special dates
• Partner connection data
• Conflict resolution records
• Trigger profiles and wellness data
• Game results and quiz responses
• Messages and communication history
• Achievements and gamification data
• All other personal content created within the app

Data Retention

The following data may be retained for legal, security, or operational purposes:

• Transaction records: Payment and subscription history may be retained for up to 7 years to comply with financial regulations and tax requirements
• Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage data may be retained to improve app performance and user experience
• Legal records: Any data required by law to be retained (e.g., for fraud prevention or dispute resolution)

All retained data is anonymized and cannot be traced back to your personal identity.

Data Deletion Timeline

Most personal data is deleted immediately upon account deletion. Some data may take up to 30 days to be fully removed from backup systems and caches.
